Web stuff, Google stabbed me and left me bleeding to death

Background
This post is a bit out of the ordinary and will probably seem like a cry to many of you, but I like to think of it as a warning of how extremely difficult it is to run a website in 2025 without a private company showering you with money to pay for advertising.
The image I'm showing you below corresponds to the data generated by my website in Google Search Console, their service for webmasters where they show you the number of times your website appears in people's search results (and the number of times they click on one of your links):
As you can see, my website has been destroyed on Google. I no longer receive visits from Google searches, and while it doesn't keep me up at night, I can't ignore the fact that not appearing in that search engine is a long-term problem.
I've been investigating, and my website isn't the only one affected, but as always with SEO, there are many theories about it and no confirmation. These range from the theory that I didn't have enough "backlinks" (links to my website on other websites, something I can't afford) to the somewhat crazy but not far-fetched theory of a new Google extortion scheme to get webmasters to pay for sponsored links and secure a ranking in its search engine (something I also can't afford). Frankly, I don't know how to deal with this problem because Google hasn't communicated how to solve it.
As an independent developer, I reaffirm that Google and its opacity in its search engine is one of the biggest cancers on the Internet. Without Google, the only way I have left to publicize my website is through you, through word of mouth.
