Update on the website: Adding user profiles

22/8/2025
Background
Before I start explaining profiles, I have to give a shout-out to Cloudflare for saving me a tremendous amount of time in terms of security and artificial intelligence. I've adopted a stance of blocking AI because they were taking up a lot of resources from my humble server and multi-million dollar companies weren't paying me anything. The abuse they're inflicting on small websites on the internet is a fucking outrage.
I'll start with profiles. It was a crazy idea I'd been mulling over for the past few months to bring together in one place if a user wants to share the following: recently played games, all the games you own, and the ones you want. Doing this has involved changing a lot of things internally. Please note that playing Steam or GOG games may not work while your account transitions to the new system I've created.
Here's my example profile. You can see the latest games I've played on Steam and GOG, as well as my games on 6 platforms and my most-wanted games on the web. I'm aware that it's aesthetically ugly, and my plan is to improve it in future patches now that the technical part is working.
You'll also see two new options in your account: games and profile. The first option is a directory of all the games you have uploaded to the website, and the second option is to see if you want to activate the profile and which sections you want to share on it.
So what do I do next? I'll see if I can recover the Amazon Luna+ games, and then I'll commit another programming folly.
