Website updates: Im dropping the smartphone app and updating the search engine and curators.
23/3/2026
Before I even get around to explaining the latest updates, it seems you're all agreeing to ask me the same things privately. I'm saying this publicly to avoid receiving any more emails: I'm ruling out developing a smartphone/tablet app for either Google Play or the Apple Store for now. This is due to a piece of news that I overlooked and which I think is outrageous. Since last year, it's been mandatory in the European Union to display your home (or business) address in your app's listing. If you're a company, it doesn't matter, but if you're an individual developer like me, it's a colossal security vulnerability. Even so, I put all the care I could into the website in case you want to install it as a PWA app on your smartphones, but it won't even come close to being the same. Now for the updates.
I'll start with the search engine. I've restructured the visual aspect to add tabs with the results you're looking for. I've also tweaked some internal parts to add results from bundles and curators (publishers, developers, and franchises).
I'm still searching for that balance between speed and the maximum amount of information a search engine should have, but it's difficult to add more information without impacting speed.
I'm still working on the curators. I've been working on the visual aspect, which was very underdeveloped. I've added boxes with featured games, showing the Steam micro-video and with direct links to the best deals available for each platform.
That's all for now. Even though the dollar implementation is finished, I have to spend a lot of time developing tools to manage the website because LaLiga's blocking directly affects my hosting, and it's getting worse because they're now doing it outside of match times (as is happening now). I need to be able to operate the website without visiting the hosting provider, which is not easy at all.
