Website updates suggested by you

18/2/2026
It's about time for another website update post. This time, I've focused on suggestions you've sent me:
  • Added Eastern characters to the search engine. I've added compatibility to the search engine for the following characters: hanzi (Chinese), kanji (Japanese), and hanja (Korean). I don't rule out the possibility that I've missed some characters; to be honest, my knowledge of these characters is nonexistent.
  • Added option to unsync and delete your Steam and GOG data. It's not quite working perfectly yet; it's an option that involves making a ton of changes, which I'll be doing little by little.
  • Added 3 tags to the game tooltip. Since many games have the short video that Steam generates, it's frankly useless. I've added the 3 most commonly used Steam tags to the tooltip to describe the game.
  • Added options to the historical lows to filter by Steam tags or categories. I finally did it; these options might seem trivial, but they involved almost 2000 lines of code, and I never had time for them.
  • Removed links to Isthereanydeal. It's a shame about this website, between its covert support for unofficial stores and its refusal to leave Discord, because it makes no sense to keep linking to it on every game page.
That's all for now. Since I have some time, I'm investigating two separate things. The first is adding the dollar currency to the website, which would mean doubling the requests to the stores (crazy for my web server). And the second is doing something about the unofficial stores. Here, I'm exploring the idea of "duplicating" the website and creating a separate secondary site, but again, I'm up against my server. For both things, I have to achieve results by caching, compressing, and consuming the least amount of RAM possible, because I can't afford an enterprise-level server (especially with the AI boom).
