Website update: Marketplaces are starting to arrive
14/9/2026
As the title says, I've started providing support for marketplaces, beginning with Kinguin. Development is progressing much slower than I'd like; I'm gradually expanding the code, and practically every file I've created now contains thousands of lines of code that need careful modification.
To give you an idea of the scale of the work, I need to explain how I link the stores. I link each game in the store by looking at each link provided by the store one by one and manually assigning it to the game in my database.
I'm doing this to avoid the fundamental flaw of websites like isthereanydeal or gg.deals, where, for example, if you search for a game that shares a name with another game, it ends up taking you to the wrong game if no one has warned you beforehand. As you can see in the image, given the number of links I have to verify with Kinguin, it's going to eat up all my free time for weeks because, remember, I do all the work on the website myself (it's the kind of job you'd delegate to an intern).
Besides unofficial stores and marketplaces, I've started calculating how much data I can save from the Steam API now that SteamDB has been sold to a private company. For now, I've started saving how games use AI (something SteamDB doesn't do). To see this, hover your mouse over the AI box to see the tooltip:
I'm also testing on a large scale how to compress the daily player count data for each game without it conflicting with the sales operations, but I can't guarantee anything unless someone pays me for more database space.
As you can see, I'm always working on something for the website.
