Website update: Integrating Steam login

24/6/2026
Time for another post, even though the price of the Steam Machine shocked me, it doesn't mean I'll stop improving the website. This time, I've focused on another feature you requested: Steam login. I want to mention two main things about the work I've done (and am still working on, because there will surely be some errors).
First, for users registered with Steam accounts synced to the website: I've integrated Steam login so that it's optional within the website login. In other words, if you're too lazy to type your password, you can always click the Steam login button, or if you don't want to use Steam login, you can always use the classic login. I've also changed how Steam accounts are synced with your website accounts, now you need to log in to Steam whenever you want to change the Steam account linked to your website account.
Second, for unregistered users: If you click the Steam login button with an existing Steam account, the website will collect some data to add to the new account registration (ID64, nickname, and avatar). If you don't want to use Steam, you can always register normally.
All the code was designed with the Steam login integration in mind, so it's optional and not a requirement, which I think is a huge mistake many websites make. I hope everything works, but if you see anything wrong, please email me at admin@pepe.deals.
