Web updates: some details about the dollar implementation

12/3/2026
I can finally breathe a little easier after implementing the dollar on the website, but you should know a few things I've done:
  • I've made a modification to the RSS feeds for the latest deals by adding a tag to the region link. The news RSS feed is unaffected.
  • I've created a subpage where I list the stores and regions I support. I'm one of those idiots who believes in transparency even if it means pointing out which stores I can't support.
  • I'm still tweaking the update times for the deals, but always prioritizing the Euro. If you switch to Dollar mode, the sales will continue to experience a considerable update delay because my server is already exceeding 60% RAM usage 24/7. Needless to say, I have to rule out supporting other currencies because my 1GB RAM server simply can't handle it.
That's all for now. Since the Steam Spring Sale is on the 19th, don't expect any major updates, as I need to see how the server handles adding a new currency. However, I'll continue experimenting with things like importing games from the Epic Games Store without needing Playnite or Heroic; it's already partially working.
